Bessie's Dilemma Part Three

Jean opened the screen door and then an oak door and escorted Bessie inside. The modestly furnished house was neat and tidy and had a huge television in the living room. "Hey, are you hungry after that walk, we could raid the pantry for some snacks?" he asked her.
"No thanks Jean, I'm fine really," said Bessie looking up at him. Boy is he tall, thought Bessie. They walked over to the staircase and Jean yelled upstairs, "I'm home and I brought company, Sabine." No response was heard. Jean took Bessie's hand and led her up the stairs and when they got to the top you could here a lot of squeeking noises. Jean put his finger to his lips and led Bessie down the hall to a bedroom. The door was open and they went in. "This is my room, said Jean. Make yourself comfortable it seems Sabine and Scott are busy. Sabine's bed needs to be oiled as rough as she is on it." They both started laughing together. Bessie looked around the room and thought it was awfully neat for a teenage boy to be living in. She went over to a chair in front of a desk and sat down. "How long have you guys lived in Greatbend?" she asked.
"About three years now, he replied as he sat down on the bed. My parents moved Sabine and I out here from Canada. This was my Aunt's place, but its ours now. My parents stayed in Canada. I got into a little trouble at school when we lived there and brought attention from the authorities in Child Welfare. My mom thought it would be best if Sabine and I moved to the States until things cooled down a bit. My aunt got killed by a hunter last year and it's been just me and Sis since. I called my parents and they said since we were in school and all, that it would be better if we just stayed. We both were old enough to look after ourselves."
"Wow, said Bessie, It must be really cool not having anyone to tell you what to do, but don't you miss your parents at all?"
"Not in the way humans do, he replied. Our kind is used to being on our own from the age of ten. The folks gave us each debit cards and the accounts always got money, so food and shelter aren't a problem. The new Jeep out there belongs to us, we share it. I love it here. The forest is so big and beautiful, I just take my clothes off and run through it as a wolf. By the way, you know you have a big secret to keep, don't you?"
"Yeah its the biggest secret I'll ever keep, she replied as she looked into his eyes. You don't have to worry about me, I'm great with secrets. My parents don't even know I had a boyfriend, I never brought Jared home to meet them. For the most part, they're pretty cool, but I don't think they'de allow me to date. They still treat me like I'm a little kid and I hate that."
"Hey, why you sittin' way over there. Come sit by me?" he asked with a grin on his face. She smiled as she got up and walked over and sat on his lap. "Is this close enough?" she said looking at her lap as she was asking him. He reached over and put his hand under her chin and turned her face to meet his. "This is perfect," he responded and he moved in to kiss her. She met his lips and could feel his hand as his fingers went through her hair and cupped her head. Their lips touched gently and he lightly swept his tongue on hers. She opened her mouth to receive him and tasted his tongue as it moved in the confines of hers. She reached over and put her arms around his neck while exploring his mouth with her tongue. He tasted wonderful! He held her tightly as her breast crushed against his powerful chest. The fire that burned inside her spread through her entire body as her breathing became rapid. Just the way he was caressing her face gave her a longing that she'd never known before. She took her hand and stroked the back of his head, running his long hair between her fingers, it was so soft, silky unlike Jared's that felt greasy. He was different in so many ways from the other boys she'd been this intimate with. Every sensation she was feeling felt new. She was becoming aware of the hardness she felt against her thigh and was startled back to reality when he put his hand on her breast. He was rubbing it so gently and kneeding the mound, she could feel her nipple jutting up against the fabric that was her bra. Should she stop him now, she asked herself? Would he think she was a prude if she did. It felt so good, so natural and she wanted him to continue, she wanted him badly! And then everything stopped. "We should stop, he said, taking his hand off her breast. I'm three years older than you, I've made love before and I don't think I can stop myself if we go any further." He was looking deeply into her dark eyes and caressed the side of her face. She took his hand and brought it to her lips and kissed it. "I haven't let a boy touch me like that so early in a relationship before, she said softly, I can't explain why I let you. Everything I'm feeling right now is so different than I've felt before, so new. I'm confused and glad you stopped as I'm not sure that I could have, feeling this way."
"Some how, I knew that and that's why I stopped, he replied. We have all the time will ever need, no sense in rushing anything."
"Thanks Jean, for being so understanding, she said looking at the clock on the bed. I didn't realize how late it's gotten, I need to get home. Walk with me?"
"Sure, he said, but you have to get off my lap first." They both started laughing. She got up and they both went downstairs and out the front door. Bessie got her bike and they walked through the forest until they were a block from her house. Bessie put the kickstand down on the bike then through her arms around Jean and they kissed. He held her tight against him and each kiss felt like the first time. Bessie got home at exactly six o'clock.

Bessie's Dileema Part Two

Bessie came in the door to her house thirty minutes late. Although her Aunt and Uncle weren't thrilled at her being late, they chose not to deal with it. After a few questions like, "How was studying and do you feel confident for the test?" Bessie ran upstairs to her room and jumped on her bed squeeling in delight. She never felt a happier moment in her life then she did with the half hour they got to spend together. She took Jarad's shirt and after throwing away the sleeve she'd bandaged Jean-Paul with in the waste basket, she neatly folded it and put it on top of her school books. She sat down at her vanity and removed the small amount of makeup she'd worn earlier. His coat was even prettier than my hair when he was a wolf, she thought to herself. Stripping off her dirty clothes, her Aunt and Uncle didn't even notice she still had egg shell and mud on them, she started the shower in her bathroom. She threw the dirty clothes in the hamper and went into the bathroom which was now full of steam. Getting the egg out of her long auburn hair was no easy feat. It took over a half hour before she could move on to washing the rest of her. Another half hour went by and she came out clean as she could be, threw on her nightdress and jumped into bed. Tired as she was, she couldn't fall asleep. His image kept popping up in her mind and it wasn't wearing any clothing. Her nipples tickled as they were taut and every time she moved to get comfortable they'd rub against the cotton fabric of the night dress. She was also damp between her legs and the more she moved to get comfortable the more aroused she became. Try as she might, so didn't fall asleep at all that night.
Morning came with the neighber's rooster squaking at 5:45 A.m. She went to her closet and spent a good deal of time figuring out what she'd wear for him. She chose to wear a short blue plaid skirt, a powder blue v-necked top and her white boots. She brushed her hair until she liked the fashion and raced down the stairs for breakfast. Aunt Elle and Uncle Peter had left already for their morning jobs and left her some french toast in the microwave. After eating she stayed in the house late to purposefully miss the bus that she road to school on with all of her girlfriends and rode her bike to school instead. She had just made it to her seat when the homeroom bell went off. Sasha, Sara, Nancy and Jared all glanced her way and smiled. Bessie gave them the "finger" and ignored them after that. She kind of dreaded the end of homeroom when everyone filed out in the hall, as she knew she'd be taunted about last night. She decided to make the first move before it started by throwing Jared's prized Pendelton Shirt into the hallway garbage can right next to where they were all standing.
"You can have your dirty shirt back Jared, I never want to see you again," said Bessie as she kept walking down the hall.
"Sore loser, Bessie, he never wanted you in the first place!" yelled Sasha as she pulled the shirt out of the can. "Hey! What happen to the missing sleeve," growled Jared.
Bessie didn't grace him with an answer as she kept walking towards her next class. When she stopped at her locker someone had written the word "Prude" in black marks-alot and the word "Bitch" in red on it. Bessie felt like she wanted to cry, but decided to get angry instead. I won't ever let them see me cry again, she said to herself. When she got to her second and third periods there were nasty notes left on her seat rolled up in little squares. She opened each one and read things like, Jared says you weren't worth the effort he put in getting into your pants, slut. And the last one read, "Maybe he'll try again when you get out of your training bra." Bessie recognized both handwritings as Sasha's and Sara's. She laughed to herself when she thought of the times that Jarad and her madeout. He kept trying to get at her breasts and she kept gently pulling his hand away. He'd never touched her there in the whole four weeks they were going out. She had planned to let him that night of the ambush.
It was now fourth period class and all Bessie could do was watch the clock. The lunch bell rang at 12:05pm. How was it she'd never seen Jean-Paul in school before? she thought. Probably because the 12th graders got lunch passes to eat off campus or they eat at the Senior's Pavallion, which was a hall on the other end of the campus. Would he really come over to the freshman- sophmore area to have lunch with her. It was almost too good to believe it could come true! All her old gang would see them together, that would be soooo cool! Finally, the teacher started passing out the homework which was a signal that class would end in a moment. Bessie could barely contain herself, she was so excited and then the bell rang. She was out of her seat in a flash and headed for her locker. When she got there she realized that she'd forgotten to even make a lunch for herself. Oh well, I have money maybe we can eat in the Cafeteria together.
She put her books inside her locker, took her purse and closed the door. She forced herself to causally walk out the hall and head for the soda machines. When she got there she was alone.
All sorts of negative thoughts started running through her head, like he wasn't going to come at all and that he was just being grateful to her when he said he would meet her. A crowd of people including Bessies former friends were heading toward the soda machine and when they got within ear shout, she heard Sasha say, "Oh, where's poor Bessie gonna sit today, she can't sit with us!" Bessie was trying to hold her temper and was just about to blast Sasha when she heard:
"Oh she doesn't have to worry about that, she's got a date with me," said Jean-Paul. The entire group turned around and there he was, all 6'2" of beautiful blonde boy walking straight toward Bessie. He walked up to Bessie and put his arm around her and kissed her full on the lips softly and said, "Are we eating in the cafe or would you like to go to the Seniors Pavillion, the food is better?"
"Can we go to the S.P.?" asked Bessie her eyes glowing right at him brightly.
"Ya lets go and let the kids eat together at the cafe," replied Jean-Paul as he steered her away from the now gathering crowd and headed for the other end of school.
'Hey, who are you calling a kid, asshole!" said Jared. Jean-Paul didn't bother to turn around and answer, he just waved at them as he escorted Bessie to the S.P. (Senior's Pavillion). When they got to the Senior's Cafeteria, they stood in line and waited to get their turn. It moved pretty fast and soon they were at the cashier and Jean-Paul paid for both of them.
"Follow me, he said as they left the Cafeteria. We never eat inside, we go over to the Grove."
Bessie walked by his side and they got to a group of tall trees and followed a little path that opened up into a large park-like area. There were lots of people sitting in small groups all around. Jean-Paul walked over to a group and said Hi and introduced Bessie as his girlfriend. Everyone seemed real nice to her and they sat down and started to eat. About five minutes later, a very tall lovely blonde girl came over and sat on the opposite side of Jean-Paul that Bessie was sitting and started to eat.
She's sitting awful close to him, I wonder if she's a girlfriend of his. God I could never compete with someone that looks like her. Her breasts are twice my size and those legs! she thought anxiously to herself. Feeling very inadequite, Bessie started to stare into her plate of food.
"Jean, you are so rude! Introduce me to your new girlfriend, you big lout!" said the Blonde.
"Oh, shit, you're right. Sorry about my manners Bessie. This is my twin sister Sabine. Sabine this is Bessie", said Jean.
"Glad to meet you Bessie and thanks for taking such good care of him last night, I searched for him when we separated and didn't see him again till he got home. He told me all about you, you have my gratitude and friendship if you'd like that", she said.
"Yes I would, said Bessie almost sounding relieved that she wasn't a rival. I'm very pleased to meet you. Jean-Paul and I haven't had that much time to know each other and that's probably why he forgot to mention you to me," said Bessie.
"Ah, she's defending you already Jean, you'd better hang on to this one", said Sabine laughingly. Jean was blushing and Bessie thought that was cute.
"Bessie, you can call me Jean, only my parents back in Canada call me Jean-Paul", he said,
Bessie finished her sandwich, put the plate down in the grass and scooted herself even closer to Jean, who put his arm around her. In another fifteen minutes the bell sounded for next period class and everyone stood up and started walking single file through the little pass out of the grove.
"I'll meet you at your bus after school and we can ride to your house together," said Jean.
"I rode my bike today, do you mind walking with me?" asked Bessie.
"Sure no problem, see you by the bike rack when school let's out," said Jean.
"Nice meeting you Sabine, said Bessie, are you going to keep us company?"
"No my dear, I have a boyfriend in college who comes by to pick me up and we go driving. I'll see you another time, maybe sometime during the weekend, okay?" she asked.
"Great, have Jean give you my number, see ya", said Bessie. Jean walked with Bessie to her fifth period class and then went to his own. Bessie was on cloud nine. She barely paid attention through her last two classes, but it was all right, she was a straight "A" student.
When Jean was walking over to meet Bessie at the bike rack, he could see she was in a screaming match with that idiot exboyfriend, Jared. He broke into a jog and caught up to them just in time to hear Jared say," You bitch, first you rip my expensive shirt and then make me out to be an idiot in front of all our friends."
"If you didn't try so hard to be an idiot, you wouldn't look like one!" said Bessie and then Jared raised his open hand to slap Bessie. Jean caught the arm in mid-swing and pushed his palm into Jared's chest, knocking him back fifteen feet and into a bunch of bicycles. Jean had caught him square in the solar plexus and completely knocked the wind out of Jared, he was having trouble drawning in air into his lungs.
"Don't ever lay a hand on her again or you'll get much worse," said Jean. A crowd including Sasha, Sara and a teacher were drawing near.
"Come on, Jean let's get out of here before that loser gets us in trouble", said Bessie pulling Jean away and getting her bike.
"Wait you two, said the teacher as he arrived. Jean-Paul what happened here?"
"This boy, was about to slap Bessie here, so I stopped him, Mr Fields. No man should ever hit a woman," said Jean.
"All right, I'll let it pass this time, but you two boys stay away from each other and you Jared Martin should know better than to strike at a girl! I want to see you in my office now!" said Mr. Fields.
As they were walking together, Bessie was even more enamored over Jean then before.
"How come our Boys Vice-Principal believed you right away?" asked Bessie.
"I'm the tweleth grade class student body President this year. He knows I wouldn't lie to him", Jean replied smiling.
"Hah, my hero, said Bessie giggling. You know, I don't have to be home until dinner. Why don't we go do something till 6:00 pm.?"
"Sounds great, let's go to my place, you still haven't seen where Sabine and I live", said Jean.
"Awesome, let's go then," replied Bessie.
They walked down a bunch of streets to a cul-de-sac and from there into the woods. It took another thirty minutes till they arrived at a two story log cabin deep in the woods. If you didn't know it was there, you'd never be able to find it. There was a New Jeep in the carport and and old Chevy Van parked out front.
"Sabine's boyfriend is over, said Jean, pointing to the old Van. Come on in I'll introduce you to Scott."

Bessie's Dilemma

Bessie had been told to stay out of the forest at night since the day she was born. At fourteen years old you'd think the warning might have some merit, but not tonight. It had been a rough day at school today, especially because of Jared, a boy she liked was seen holding hands with her best girlfriend Sasha at lunch time. Bessie felt crushed and spent the rest of the lunch break crying behind the Phs. Ed building alone. She was always alone it seemed. Even when she was out with her girlfriends at the mall it seemed liked they were not including her in the conversation and everytime they mentioned Jared's name, they'd give her a glance to see if it got a rise out of her. Bessie felt like a loner and a loser because all the girls in her little circle of friends had boyfriends to do things with after school and she just went home to her studying and the same chores she had to do before dinner. It was getting cold at Greatbend, the little town she lived in near the forests of Wisconsin. But this day was to improve! Sara, one of her girlfriends told her that Jared wanted to meet her alone at Hearts' Tree in the woods at 8:00 P.m.
She hurried through her chores and helped her Aunt Elle prepare dinner for her Uncle who was a Linesman for the local phone company. Her Aunt noticed she was rushing through the meal after they had sat down to eat and said, "Good God girl, you'd think we never fed you, are you that starved or in a hurry for a date?" Bessie almost choked on her food and replied,
"I'm going over to Sara's house after dinner to study for a test, I should be back by 9:30 at the latest."
"Well at least chew your food, Sara will still be there when your done with a proper dinner", replied her Aunt." Sara finished her dinner and dashed upstairs to change clothes from school. She put on a pair of her favorite jeans and a long sleeve Pendleton Shirt Jared had loaned her last week which she purposely never gave back. Sitting down at her vanity table she put on a little makeup pulled on her Doc Martins and was ready to go. Her heart was beating like it was going to jump out of her chest she was so nervous. She came downstairs and said goodbye to her Aunt and Uncle. "Where's your books? asked Uncle Peter, or don't you need them to study?"
"Oops, said Bessie and she ran to the living room where she had left them when she came home. She laughed and said, "I know, I'd forget my head if it wasn't attached to me, right?" Both the Aunt and Uncle kissed her on the cheek and told her not to be late. She dashed out the frontdoor, hid her books by the firewood pile and then jogged up the street. When she got to the end of the street, instead of turning left to go to Sara's she ran into the forest. Hearts' Tree, as everyone at school called it, was a tree about a half mile into the forest and was so named because the local lovers carved their initials in it. Everybody knew about Hearts' Tree and went there to makeout with their boyfriends.
Bessie's pulse raced as she ran and her anticipation was soaring higher then ever before. When she finally got there, there was nobody insight. "Maybe I'm early", she thought to herself as she sat down by the tree and lit a cigarette that she'd gotten from Tania at the mall. She waited there for twenty minutes then a whole gang of her classmates jumped out from behind a big bush and started throwing eggs and mud at her while taunting her in the most hurtful ways they could think of. "Oh, look Jared, Bessies here to makeout with you!" screamed Sasha all the while holding hands with Jared.
Bessie's heart sank and she ran crying and running deeper into the woods then she'd ever been. She was in hysterics, she cried so hard she couldn't catch her breath, her side started hurting and all she could do was run! She stopped to catch her breath and to quit crying, but every second she felt more and more humiliated. Finally she slid down to the base of a large tree and tried to get hold of her emotions. Thoughts of never going back to that school raced through her mind almost as much as she hated Sara for setting her up. Something was moving toward her from the trees. All she could see was a shadow on the ground from the light of the full moon. Closer and closer it came and suddenly Bessie was more scared than humilliated. People were known to disappear from these woods and never be heard from again. The she heard a branch snap and a howl like that of a wolf. It was howling and wouldn't stop. Bessie got up and looked around the tree and found a stout branch she could use to protect herself from whatever was over there and she started to slowly back away from the howling which was just beyond some large bushes. She moved about five paces and the howl turned into a whimper. Whatever was beyond those bushes was badly hurt and needed help, thought Bessie. So with club in hand, she moved in a large circle until she could see what was there. Lying on it's side with it's foot in a trap was the most beautiful sable colored wolf she'd ever seen. She could see clearly as the moon was now directly over the animal and tears of pain were flowing out of it's big green eyes.
As she approached it the animal became quiet and was rubbing its nose against the grass. Bessie knew what she was doing and what she was about to do was very dangerous, but she couldn't stop herself. It was like some unstoppable force of nature was pulling her in to try and aid this creature.
"Stay still now, she said to it softly, don't thrash around or the blades of that trap will make it worse. Easy now, I'm going to open this trap and push your leg out. Easy boy." It was almost as if the wolf understood everything she was saying to him. Bessie put the branch down and went over to the trap and studied it. The wolf lay silent almost not breathing. Bessie took off Jarad's Pendleton Shirt and wrapped her hands in the sleeves. She sat next to the wolf and put her shoe against one side of the trap and with her hands she started prying the clamp apart. As soon as there was enough room the wolf shimmied out and the trap snapped together again, but the wolf could't stand. Bessie made a bandage by ripping the sleeve of the shirt and applied it to the wolf''s leg and tied it tight. "We really need to find some water and antiseptic to clean this wound", she said. With all the effort it could muster, the wolf started to pull it self away from the trap area. When it reached a far enough area away, it's whole body started to glow brightly. The light was so bright Bessie had to cover her eyes. When it finally stopped. The wolf was gone and in its place was a teenage boy, naked except for the bandage.
"Thank you, Bessie, for coming to my aid," he said as he removed the bandage and tossed it to her.
"How did you know my name is.., wait what are you, some kind of a werewolf?" she asked more curious and enamored than scared.
"Not the way you'd imagine me to be. We call ourselves Shifters, we can take on any form of animal we choose and as you can see, we heal very quickly. My name is Jean-Paul Laroque. And to answer your other question, I heard what those kids said back there near where I was hunting."
He stood up and Bessie stared at his naked body without realizing. Mesmerized by his tall athletic body which appeared lily white against the moon lit sky. He was beautiful to her, beyond handsome and Bessie was starting to feel desire, real desire for the first time in her life. He walked up to a tree and reached into its trunk and pulled out his clothes. In moments he was dressed and walked back to her.
"I think I'd better help you find your way home from here, you're probably lost,"he said as he held out his hand to her which she took and said, "How come you didn't just change in the trap and use your arms to free your leg?"
"My, you're just full of questions tonight aren't you? he said with a grin on his lips. You see those pieces of green twigs wrapped together by the trap to make sort of a stick man?"
"Yes, said Bessie walking over to the trap and picking up one of the two. This stuff really stinks! What is it?"
"That dear Bessie is a wolfsbane totem. When I get near it it robs me of my power to change and all my strength. Someone was hunting me or my kind," said Jean-Paul. Bessie threw the totem as far as she could until she heard it fall into water. She did the same thing with the second totem.
"I guess that's the lake over there, I know about where we are now. If I follow the lake bed it'll lead me almost to my own backyard. Would you still walk me home, Jean-Paul?" she shyly asked.
"It would be my pleasure to walk home the girl that saved my life", he said with the same sexy grin. They walked hand in hand for about two miles and when they came to the path that led to Bessie's back porch he put his arms around her waist and drew her in for a long passionate kiss. After it ended Bessie was all weak in her knees and she said,
"I don't suppose you'd like to get together again, would you?"
"He pulled out his cellphone from his pocket and said," What's your number?"
Bessie pulled out her own phone and asked him for his. They both laughed and exchanged cell numbers.
"Can I call you when I get out of school tomorrow?" asked Bessie.
"Better, I'll look for you at lunch, we go to the same school, I'm in the 12th grade at Millikan High and you're a freshman. How about we meet at the soda machines at 12:10pm?"he asked.
"Awesome," she said looking at her watch it was 10:00 pm. She waved at him as she went running to her home, she was late. What should she tell her Aunt and Uncle? She didn't know and she didn't care.
